VW Touareg truck by Individual

Volkswagen Individual has created a 2-door Touareg pickup that recalls VW's NAIAS 2000
Advanced Activity Concept (AAC), shown at right.
Apparently captured on display at an Italian show (we don't know which one), it shows that the Touareg is more than capable of spawning a very fun-looking truck. In fact, the absence of the concept's mini-doors make this pickup look much sportier than the AAC. Chrome roll bars sit aft of the wood-accented B-pillar, and the bed is lined with rough-and-tumble diamond-plate.
The cab is trimmed out in wood, aluminum, and gorgeous brown leather accents. So far, Dutch site
AutoScoops.eu is the only place we know of that has photos of the truck. We'll see if we can get more info out of VW, but in the meantime check out some additional shots of the rear, interior, and bedliner at
AutoScoops.

Shouldn't a mass market VW truck be based on a Golf *snicker*
Oh the old days....
Although that thingy up there looks pretty good, heck it'd be even better than an H2 truck, atleast functional.

I like the way it looks, but I've heard repeatedly on autoblog that two door trucks won't sell.

Wow - the regular cab one looks cool. Who knew you coudl turn such a gay SUV into such a cool pickup?

I actually prefer the 2 door version to the model with the "mini-doors". But WOOD TRIMMED B PILLARS? You have to be kidding me. Why not wood inserts in the rollover bars, too? What next? Foglights with bulbs so the beams they produce are color-coordinated to the interior?

Erik, you're the only thing that's gay around here.

I'll take one with diesel motor, extended cab and short bed.
VW, are you listening???

That 2 door is really neat...small 2 seaters pickups are missing lately...

#11- remember that thing is based on a Touareg (7 letters with 4 vowels is still wrong), so its no smaller than a reg cab Taco or Canyon. As for doo-dads, and what-nots, it's still going to be a few more iterations of german inventiveness, until they come up with something that's actually sa pick-up. Then again, the old AAC concept is ALOT like the Ridgeline, aside of course the big whonkin diesel it was purorted to have.

Ugly as hell.
